Felton residence struck six times by gunfire

FELTON — A residence in the 1800 block of Ironmine Road was struck six times by rounds from a 9 mm handgun Wednesday, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.

Troopers responded to the area at approximately 10:30 a.m. for a shots-fired report. An investigation found that the rounds had been fired at about 5:20 a.m. The home was occupied by a 25-year-old male, a 69-year-old female and a 79-year-old female at the time, but no injuries occurred, police said.

There was no suspect information or surveillance images immediately available, Cpl. DeMalto said.
