FELTON — A 45-year-old Felton man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop Saturday, authorities said.

Elgin K. Carrington was driving in the 300 block of East Main Street when his vehicle was stopped for a registration violation at 7:29 p.m., said Felton Police Chief Christopher Guild. He added that the vehicle was not insured.

A search found a digital scale, 31 grams of ecstasy tablets (40 pills) and approximately 129.2 grams of marijuana, individually wrapped in five separate bags, police said.

Mr. Carrington was taken into custody without further incident and was charged with two counts of manufacturing/delivering/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (felonies), possession/consumption of marijuana other than personal-use quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal-use quantity marijuana, failure to have required insurance and expired tags.

He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on his own recognizance.
