Dover resident overcomes stroke, continues to write children’s books

DOVER — One could call Leetress M. Burris a late bloomer.
After all, the 54-year-old Dover native did not publish her first children’s book — “Heroes of the Bible: The Stories of Joseph, Noah and Jonah” — until she was 49, back in May 2017.
