DOVER — A 20-year-old Dover man suffered non-life threatening injuries in a shooting incident Monday, authorities said.

Dover Police spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said investigation began at 2:16 p.m., when a shooting call in the 100 block of Hampton Drive was received. Officers responded and made contact with the man who had sustained a gun shot wound to his upper body and a graze wound on his lower body, police said.

The man was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment, police said.

Police determined that as the man was arriving home, three suspects were standing in the area, one of which began firing a handgun at him. The suspects then fled toward Redner’s however could not be located by arriving officers, police said.

The suspects are described as Black males wearing ski masks, Cpl. Schmid said .
