Dover man dies from single-vehicle crash injuries

FELTON — A 60-year-old Dover man has died from injuries suffered in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday, Delaware State Police said.

Police said Steven Satterfield was driving a Nissan Versa at approximately 8:38 when it veered off Firetower Road and collided with a tree. The crash occurred just north of Berrytown Road, authorities said.

Police said Mr. Satterfield, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and died Sunday.

The roadway was temporarily closed for approximately 2.5 hours as investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway, police said.

Investigation continues and troopers asked anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Master Cpl. J. Lane by calling 302-698-8457. Information may also be provided by sending a Private Facebook Message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
