Boosters needed

The following was posted online by Shamya Stover, coach of the Cambridge-South Dorchester High School girls’ basketball team:

“Dear C-SD community!

“As a coach of the girls’ basketball team, I am asking that you, myself, and few other volunteers really bring back the days of sports boosters. Local businesses, we need your sponsorship. Families, we need you to show up as much as possible. Every kid deserves to have someone show up for them.

“I will be the biggest advocate for athletics because I know how much it means in this community but I cannot do it alone. Many of our teams need new uniforms, updated equipment, meals after games, and things need to be changed every couple of years or so due to wear and tear.

“If you are committed to youth, I’m encouraging you to please join our sports boosters, who are parent sponsored and community sponsored because our kids truly deserve the best.

“If you are interested, please feel free to inbox me [on Facebook].”
