A number of vocational-technical high school students from Delaware were recognized for their work at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference on June 19-23 in Atlanta.
Forty-one students from the First State joined more than 16,000 other participants in competitive events in construction trades, video broadcasting, graphic arts, automotive trades and leadership skills.
Four students placed in the top 10, and 11 received Skill Point awards, which represent proficiency and workplace readiness in their occupational specialty.
Additionally, Delaware was recognized by the national SkillsUSA office for having the largest high school membership percentage increase and the largest overall membership percentage increase for the 2022-23 academic year.
