What Is Your Voice, The Fund for Women at Delaware Community Foundation, and Philanthropy Delaware announce four awards will be made from proceeds of the April 28 presentation of “Runaway Princess: A Hopeful Tale of Heroin, Hooking and Happiness” performance at Cape Henlopen High School.  

The performance by Mary Goggin, a New-York based actress and survivor or addiction, abuse and trafficking, who wrote and performs her own one-woman show, was a collaborative effort of many organizations.

The non-profits, which address trafficking and mental and physical wellness in Delaware, will each receive $2,500.

Awardees are:

• Meet Me at The Well Foundation, a faith-based organization, supporting a team of survivors and allies that provide highly individualized support for survivors of trafficking in their journey of healing through trauma informed mentorship, outreach, and support for achieving independence, safe and sustainable housing, and employment.  
• Zoe Ministries provides healing, safety, and advocacy for those impacted or potentially impacted by sex trafficking. Currently they offer professional training, traditional mentorship, and clinical counseling, and are anticipating the opening of its youth residential aftercare home in 2024. Founder Yolanda Montgomery was a panelist on the show’s Talk Back portion of the event.
• Survivor Ventures provides survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation with the support and resources needed to attain economic empowerment. Survivor Ventures was a Silver Sponsor of Runaway Princess.
• Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative, through collective nursing, helps improve health and wellness in neighborhoods and provides support for nurses in the community through nurse-led projects. Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative was a Bronze Sponsor of Runaway Princess.
