Over 100 students from schools and/or after-school programs statewide participated in DART’S “Stuff the Bus” poster contest, showcasing their vision of this year’s theme, “Stuff the Bus, 25th Anniversary Logo Challenge!”
Students were encouraged to visit the Stuff the Bus webpage, where they could become more informed about the annual food drive and how DART supports the Food Bank of Delaware.
Students from sixth through 12th grades participated. A first-place winner from each grade was chosen, along with an overall grand prize winner, Jeremiah Hagans, an eighth grader from Millsboro Middle School. His art will be placed on all DART buses and in several buildings. His poster will also be featured on DART’s website, in other business partners’ publications, on DART’s social media and as the logo for the 25th annual Stuff the Bus in November.
Along with Jeremiah, the other first-place winners were Jack Hill, sixth grade, Shue-Medill Middle School; Natalia Maldonado, seventh grade, Talley Middle School; Alejandra Torres, 10th grade, Delcastle Technical High School; Yushiya Thomas, 11th grade, Delcastle Technical High School; and Curtis Lavigne, 12th grade, Networks School for Employability Skills. There were no ninth grade entries.
All first-place winners received prizes from DART.
