DAR, Col. John Haslet Chapter honors Vietnam veterans

DOVER — The Daughters of the American Revolution, Col. John Haslet Chapter in Dover participated in National Vietnam War Veterans Day ceremony at the Kent County Veterans Memorial Park.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a commemorative partner with the Vietnam War Commemoration, a Secretary of Defense initiative to thank and honor the service and sacrifice of Vietnam veterans and their families.

As a partner, the DAR, Col. John Haslet Chapter presented Kent County’s Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 850 with the Commemorative Flag and the Department of Defense Honorary Partner certificate for its exemplary efforts to promote and support issues important to Vietnam veterans.

Chapter members also placed a wreath at the monument honoring Kent County servicemen who died in Vietnam.
