Daniels: Why are Democrats trying to destroy democracy?

Posted

Frank Daniels is a retired colonel with the U.S. Army Reserve and a Dover resident.

As the Trump presidency kicks into full gear, extreme violent radicalism is rearing its ugly face across our beautiful nation. Our Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents are being portrayed as soldiers kidnapping people off the street and sending them to concentration camps. That volatile and dangerous rhetoric has the full support of the Democratic Party and our national print and news media.

One would hope that the violence against our ICE officers would be headlined each evening by the news; however, because the national media is afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome, much of what is happening across this country is being relegated to minimal news segments, if any at all.

The riots we saw in Los Angeles and other cities against our immigration agents are a direct result of the sanctuary city policy in Democrat-controlled cities and states. The very fact that the governor of California took President Donald Trump to court, and lost, is further testament to the fact that Trump derangement syndrome is fueling the destruction of the Democratic Party and destroying our nation.

The Democrats are totally lost in their hatred for President Trump. As such, they have abdicated their responsibility for the safety and security of this great nation. The only thing that matters to them is that Trump is bad and must be replaced. When is the last time you heard of any Democratic policy concerning the safety, growth or well-being of our country? They have zero policies for anything, only their hatred for Trump.

Our college campuses, overrun by radical individuals, have the implicit support of the Democrats and the colleges’ administrations, faculties and boards. These people — who are often heard chanting, “From the river to the sea” — are actually abdicating for the total annihilation of the Jewish nation. These individuals, many of whom are not students but here on overextended visas, need to be deported now. However, our failing judicial system is giving non-Americans more constitutional protection than it does American citizens who get in trouble.

It has taken the Supreme Court to rein in our failing and now very political judicial system. The system, once thought to be the pillar of our three-pronged form of government, has exploded politically, throwing the Constitution, the very document it was designed to protect, in the trash.

Since Trump took office in January, have we heard any condemnation of the brutal attacks against our ICE agents or the radical judicial decisions from our three representatives in Washington, D.C.? In my opinion, Sen. Chris Coons, Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester and Rep. Sarah McBride, all D-Del., are nothing more than machine politicians who parrot the Democratic talking points or remain absolutely silent on anything that could affect their reelections. While it’s only affecting New York City (for now!), how do they feel about Zohran Mamdani? Mamdani had received tacit approval from New York’s Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, as well as other prominent Democrats, as they are afraid of the stranglehold the far left has on the Democratic Party. Where do our three representatives stand? Silence indicates their support for their Democratic colleague in New York City.

What’s happening in New York isn’t far from what is occurring in Massachusetts, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, Oregon and California. All one has to do is look at the far-left assembly in Delaware and realize that it won’t take but one or two more machine politicians from New Castle County to make our state look like those identified above. That thought is echoed on the Opinion page of the July 13 Daily State News, with the scare tactic piece written by three of our state representatives (“Del. House leaders respond to ‘Big Beautiful Bill’”). It’s not about “never backing down” but understanding that your party stands for pure and unadulterated socialism and, now in New York, communism.

All three of our congressional representatives do not represent my belief that our country was devastated by four years of Joe Biden. All three were ardent supporters of all the lies spewing from Washington concerning the Biden presidency and are sadly inflicted with Trump derangement syndrome.

The midterms are a short 16 months away. We are stuck with Blunt-Rochester; however, Coons and McBride (who stated on the House of Representatives floor that “the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ will kill people” — more scary rhetoric by our left-wing Democrats) must not be reelected, as they will only continue to parrot the lies and misinformation put out on a daily basis by the Democratic Party and our national print and news media. We, the voters of Delaware, must coalesce to stop what’s happening in and to our state. If we do not, it won’t be long before Delaware is New York, California, Illinois and the other states mentioned above.
