What uniquely qualifies you for this office?

I am uniquely qualified for this office because I am not beholden to partisan politics, nor do I wish to become a career politician.

What are the top three issues for this office in your view?

The top three issues for the office of state senator in my view are protecting the rights of Delawareans by ensuring no laws are passed that limit those freedoms, ensuring that the Delaware state budget is fiscally sound and working to reduce the impact of the crippling inflation we are experiencing.

What would be your top priority if elected?

Should I be elected, my top priority will be to craft and pass a clean marijuana legalization bill that allows for personal consumption as well as limited cultivation for personal use.

If you could change one state policy or law, what would it be?

If I were able to change one Delaware law or policy, it would be to modify the cottage food laws of this state to allow for more at-home chefs to market their products and to allow farmers to sell their crops directly to the public.

What can Delaware do about its workforce issues?

Delaware currently has a higher unemployment rate than the United States on average. It is troubling as many places I frequent have “now hiring” signs in the window. We as a state need better resources to help our unemployed and underemployed population gain traction in the workforce by providing more job training programs, and more counselors for those populations to address any barriers to employment.

What, if any, gun laws would you change?

I am a firm Second Amendment candidate and I do not support the recently enacted gun control laws. I oppose laws that limit the right to bear arms and I oppose any changes in our financial system that singles out independent firearm dealers.

How would you protect or change abortion rights in the state?

I support Delaware calling for a convention for states to enact a constitutional enshrining the right of a woman to receive an abortion, as outlined in Roe v. Wade.

Do you support the State Employee Benefits Committee’s move to Medicare Advantage Plan for state retirees? Why?

I do not support the State Employee Benefits Committee’s move to Medicare Advantage Plan for retirees as it breaks the faith with state workers who worked for a lifetime, just to have their benefits pulled out from under their feet.
