CHESWOLD — A 39-year-old Cheswold man was arrested on drug charges after a three-month narcotics investigation concluded Monday, authorities said.

According to Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto, troopers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Blanton Drive at approximately 8:15 p.m. They contacted Jesse Hart in the home, and he was taken into custody without further incident.

A residential search yielded approximately 2,392 wax paper baggies of suspected heroin and over $850 in suspected drug proceeds, Cpl. DeMalto said.

Mr. Hart was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $35,000 cash bond.
