Chamber Connection: Two CDCC educational opportunities

Posted

The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) places a high priority on education for its business members. We live and work in a fast-paced, always changing world — and the Chamber understands the importance of staying informed. The educational opportunities offered by the CDCC are part of what makes the Chamber THE essential resource for the development of businesses in Central Delaware.

Chamber members will have two opportunities this week to engage in learning alongside fellow members. Both events will be held in the CDCC Board Room and will be available on Zoom — and both are free benefits that come with Chamber membership.

On Wednesday, May 12, from 8 to 9 a.m., members are invited to attend the fourth Coffee Coaching session of the “Come Back” series. This series, brought to you by The House of Coffi and Tre Sorelle Ice Cream & Mini Golf, is designed to assist businesses in Central Delaware as they reopen and relaunch post-COVID. Each session of the series will cover several strategies for rebuilding successful businesses. The goal of this series is to assist business owners as they get back up and running — and growing — in the months to come.

The topic for this week’s Coffee Coaching is “Pandemic Pivots: Strategies Worth Keeping.” Throughout the past year, business leaders have had to dig deep into their wells of creativity and ingenuity to create strategies that would keep them in business during times of lock down and restricted capacities. Some of these strategies have worked so well that they will become part of their regular business model. Come and join us to learn about how some of these new practices can enhance your business’ portfolio.

On Thursday, May 13, from 8:30–10 a.m., the CDCC will hold its monthly Member Orientation. The CDCC’s Member Orientation sessions are design to help folks get the most out of their CDCC memberships. The Chamber wants its members to get everything they can from the services, events, and activities offered, but that can only happen if people know what they are, and which ones will most benefit them and their businesses.

Member Orientation is not just for new members, they are also for current members who have been with the Chamber for some time. The Chamber wants to ensure that everyone stays current on all that is happening and is especially concerned that its members are aware of new opportunities that come along and new services as they are added. Often attendance at these sessions is followed by the creation or the review of members’ journey maps. The CDCC staff is here to meet with each member to create a journey map that will assist them in remaining engaged and making the most of their membership.

If you are not yet a member of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce and are interested in hearing more about the benefits of Chamber membership, we would be happy to hear from you! Call today to schedule a meeting a CDCC staff member.

To register for Coffee Coaching or Member Orientation, please call the CDCC Office at 302.734.7513. We will look forward to learning with you at these informative, educational events!
