MILFORD — The 2021 Big Draw Festival DE is part of an annual event celebrated in more than 25 countries during October, and this year, the Mispillion Art League is bringing the festival to Milford.
Saturdays will be the dates for free art activities at five locations around Milford. They are:
Create undersea creatures on giant rolls of paper, paint pumpkins, make some monsters from recycled materials, sketch the area in your free sketchbook (while supplies last) and more.
On Oct. 30, join experts and build sandcastles in a giant sand pile, paint with coffee, make boats from recycled materials and participate in a costume parade wearing homemade costumes.
Abbott's Mill Nature Center will be there with live snakes and turtles. Visit the DuPont Nature Center and Delaware Solid Waste Authority tables, which will have information about Delaware environmental and recycling programs.
In addition to the Saturday events, sign up for Big Draw-themed October classes at MAL in downtown Milford. Classes are posted on its website and Facebook pages.
