Big Brothers Big Sister of the Eastern Shore celebrates National Volunteer Month

Posted

SALISBURY — During April, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore will celebrate the many efforts of its volunteers. Throughout the month, the agency will be celebrating and honoring its volunteers and the influential work they do for the organization.

Volunteers play a special role in the fabric of the organization, from its supportive board members who guide the agency and help develop new programs to meet the ever-growing needs of the community, to vital, life-changing adult mentors who ignite the power and promise of youth through wisdom and guidance. Each day, Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers share their time and talent with their Little mentees to help children develop skills and achieve their dreams. Through their guidance and support, mentees become leaders and change-makers of tomorrow. Volunteers’ efforts, no matter what role they choose, are greatly appreciated!

Volunteers support the organization in so many ways. They help in ways both large and small, one-time, and ongoing. The agency especially appreciates its volunteers who have given their time in the past year. Some people have had to pause volunteering, others have had to change the way they volunteer, and still others have come on board as new volunteers. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore is grateful for each and every person who has pitched in!

To become a mentor or learn how you can support the vital, life-changing programs offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore, visit www.shorebiglittle.org, email info@shorebiglittle.org, or call 410-543-2447. On behalf of all of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore, and especially those they serve every day, many thanks to the agency’s amazing volunteers.
