Barn fire under investigation
Blaze damages estimated at $125,000
SALISBURY – The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a structure fire involving a pole barn on Riverside Drive.
According to the report, the fire was reported on Feb. 15 at 9:44 a.m. The Fruitland Volunteer Fire Department was first on the scene. Sixty-five firefighters responded and fought the blaze for 120 minutes.
Estimated loss was $80,000 for the structure and $45,000 for the contents.
The fire apparently started inside the structure. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
