Arrest made in Middletown shooting incident case

MIDDLETOWN — A 19-year-old Middletown man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident incident on April 17, authorities said.

Jeremiah Riley was arrested Friday after investigation into an unoccipied residence in the 100 block of E. Lake Street being struck by gunfire, Middletown Police said.

Mr. Riley was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, first-degree reckless endangering (six counts), resisting arrest with force or violence and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was issued a $124,000 cash bail and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of posting bail.
