SALISBURY — On Monday, March 18, at approximately 3:15 a.m. the Salisbury Fire Department was dispatched to the 1500 block of Sharen Drive in response to an apartment fire.

It took approximately one hour to get the fire under control. No injuries or deaths have been reported. Seven families have been displaced as a result of the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The preliminary cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation.
