After snow closures in Delaware, some organizations are digging out

Posted

Monday's snowstorm put the brakes on schools, state government and some health services. While the storm continues to impact some, other organizations are back up and running.

This list will be updated.

DART

DART service status for Tuesday is as follows:

New Castle County — Bus service is operating as scheduled; delays are possible.

Kent County — Route 117's Polytech High School run will not be served, as school is closed.

Sussex County — Route 204 had no service to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal until 10 a.m.

Georgetown's Thurman Adams State Service Center and Sussex Correctional Institution were not served until after 10 a.m. (check website for updates).

Riders can check here for updates or download the free DART Transit app for real-time bus information. Riders can also subscribe to alerts and news via the Delaware Notification Service (find DART under DelDOT).

Use caution getting to bus stops due to potentially slippery conditions. Driveways and sidewalks should be cleared for the safety of bus riders and operators.

Government

State of Delaware offices in Kent and Sussex counties opened at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Nonessential employees who live or work in those counties did not report until that time. Essential employees designated for severe weather reported as scheduled.

Health services

Beebe Healthcare will resume normal operations Tuesday, after a winter storm closed outpatient locations Monday afternoon.

Anyone with an appointment at primary care, a specialty office, a cancer center or a physical rehabilitation or diagnostic testing location can expect to be cared for Tuesday. If any patient does not feel safe traveling, they can call the office to reschedule or switch to virtual, if applicable.

All four Beebe Healthcare Walk-In Care locations resumed normal hours Tuesday (at 9 a.m.). Any change in an office’s status will be shared on Beebe's social media pages. Both of Beebe’s Emergency Departments remain open.

Beebe states that citizens should not utilize those departments for COVID-19 testing.

TidalHealth Primary Care and Specialty Care offices and Immediate Care Centers will open at 1 p.m.

TidalHealth Wound Care & Hyperbaric locations in Salisbury, Maryland, and Seaford will open at 1 p.m.

TidalHealth FamilyLabs in Princess Anne, Maryland; Laurel; Bridgeville; and Berlin, Maryland, will be closed Tuesday.

The Hanna Outpatient Lab at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury opened at 8 a.m. TidalHealth FamilyLabs in Millsboro; at Woodbrooke and Milford Street in Salisbury; and in Ocean Pines, Maryland, also opened at 8.

The FamilyLab in the Natesan office in Salisbury opened at 10 a.m.

All outpatient services at the TidalHealth Mears Campus in Seaford will be closed Tuesday.
