Adams, McConnell named TidalHealth Team Members of Month

Posted

LAUREL — Two TidalHealth employees, Angel Adams and Sarah McConnell, were named Team Members of the Month for November.

Ms. Adams, a certified medical assistant lead at TidalHealth Primary Care, Laurel, was nominated by Sasha Drummond for demonstrating the values of accountability, community, quality and service.

“Adams has been a dedicated TidalHealth team member for over eight years, with her unfailing service to the patients of TidalHealth Primary Care in Laurel and anywhere she may go to cover,” Ms. Drummond stated.

“Adams goes beyond for the care of her patients by helping them get sample medications when they are in the donut hole with their insurance. She has been a volunteer in several TidalHealth events and has continued strong even with her own personal trial this year. She is becoming a good lead in the Laurel office and continues to help in training staff as they on-board for other offices, especially those that give care to pediatric patients.”

Ms. McConnell, a patient service representative at TidalHealth Pulmonary & Critical Care, Salisbury (Maryland), was nominated by Meghan Schultz.

“McConnell demonstrated patience, kindness and care while helping a patient with directions over the phone recently,” Ms. Schultz wrote.

“She dedicated forty-five minutes of her time to providing detailed instructions on how to get to the office from where the patient was located (including landmarks she should pass on the way) to ensure she made it to her appointment on time. The patient did not have a map or GPS and would not have made it to the office without McConnell’s gracious assistance. It was wonderful to see her go the extra mile for one of our patients.”
