DOVER — Grants to pay for the routine pumping-out of residential septic tanks are available for homeowners in the Chesapeake Bay watershed in Kent County, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and the Kent Conservation District have announced.
More than $68,000 in funding is accessible, enough to pay for roughly 300 systems. Qualifying applicants, who must reside in the home, can receive up to $200, and the monies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The pumpout project runs through June 30, 2024, or as long as funding lasts.
