Delmarva Power crew in Georgia to assist following Hurricane Helene

Posted

Delmarva Power sent a crew last week to support personnel with Georgia Power responding to the impact of Hurricane Helene.

Thirty-six lineworkers and six individuals from fleet, safety and supervision left Delmarva Power’s service area Wednesday and arrived in Georgia Thursday. “Our sister Exelon utilities Pepco and BGE are also answering the call and sending crews to Georgia Power,” wrote Candice Womer, senior communications specialist for Exelon.

“Through the years, Delmarva Power has sent hundreds of crews and support personal to assist energy companies across the country, as part of our mutual assistance networks. Just as Delmarva Power provides support, crews from across the U.S have helped with restoration efforts in our region following severe storms.”
