Delaware Botanic Gardens adding EagleCam

Posted

DOVER — The Delaware Botanic Gardens, 30220 Piney Neck Road, has long been home to nesting eagles, with a family of four making their home there this past spring; and the facility is aiming to bring those birds even closer to home, by installing an EagleCam.

After the eagles leave, expected sometime this September, the gardens have plans to install two cameras and reinforce the existing nest, making it extra attractive to expecting families.

The gardens have contracted with the same company that installed the EagleCam at Big Bear Valley in California, it said in a release.

The gardens are seeking donations to fund the project, for more information, visit  www.delawaregardens.org/give-today.
