Opinion
I respect the opinion of Dover City Councilman Brian E. Lewis about needing solutions for Dover’s recent shootings (“Solutions needed after rash of shootings in Dover”). But I think we need to think outside the box and come up with solutions that are needed to end the gun violence not only in Dover but in our country.
I strongly agree with Dan Shortridge’s encouraging a photo history of Delaware (“We need a Delaware Photographers’ Project”).

The capital city is once again hosting thousands of race fans over the weekend, with various events culminating with the Würth 400. Dover Motor Speedway’s first major event was back in 1969, won by the legendary Richard Petty. In its five-and-a-half decades, how has the track changed? Is NASCAR more or less popular than when it began? Do you welcome the crowds during these weekends or are you happy to see the fans leave?
