They have been a rubber stamp for the developers for well over three decades now. They only see the dollar signs (and again, I wonder how many of those dollars are winding up in their pockets). — Beth Gallagher
The overpass/bypass proposal was voted down years ago. The growth was already slated to move in. Once again, Delaware voters (I’m looking at you, Sussex County) failed to install the infrastructure needed to deal with the growth. — Tommy Bou
I can’t disagree with you, but the infrastructure needs in eastern Sussex County were largely ignored, and the councils were rubber-stamping every project that came across their agenda. Those failures are why there are the congestion problems, and the overpass/bypass you’re referring to is still in the planning stages by DelDOT (and there is the belief that the planned overpass at Route 16 will only make the traffic problems worse). — Brian P. Slattery
Follow the money. — Susan Glenn Lambert
