The first four winners of Delaware’s COVID-19 vaccination-incentive program, DE Wins!, were drawn Monday at the Delaware Lottery office. The prizes included two Delaware State Park passes and Wilmington Blue Rocks tickets for those ages 12 to 17 who have been vaccinated so far. Another drawing was for $5,000 to those who have been vaccinated since May 24.
- Does this violate HIPAA? — Danny Lorea
- Are we going to have the same thing for the flu shot? — John T. Reilly
- Really upset that those of us that already have the shot aren’t as appreciated as those they have to buy to get it. Just do what is right for you. — Kimberly Borman
- Could the state please figure out a way to financially help organizations who provide services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities open up? They need help financially to hire/train new staff, so this vulnerable population can get back to their rightful day programming. It’s been 14-plus months for my son, who is vaccinated but can’t wear a mask. We can all go out publicly, but his organizations can’t open due to lack of funding and staff/resources. Seems the state can find money for just about anything but not some of its most vulnerable population. — Renee Roberts
- If it was a great thing, they wouldn’t need incentives other than life. — Kathi Adronene
