Speak Up: Delaware reauthorizes State of Emergency

Delaware reentered a State of Emergency beginning Monday. Gov. John Carney said this will allow the state to mobilize the National Guard to help hospitals and manage the current COVID-19 surge. Approximately 100 members of the Delaware National Guard are currently being trained to become certified nursing assistants.
Guess mandating health care workers to get a shot isn’t working out now, is it? Too many nurses have been let go due to this mandate. Too many good people willing to help but are now helpless. Makes no sense especially when those vaccinated are not immune to this and can still spread it. Sad. — Tracey Iosbaker
