The state formally issued regulations Monday to extend the emergency masking requirement in public and private K-12 schools until Feb. 8. The extension was originally announced by Gov. John Carney, the Delaware Department of Education and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services last month. Gov. Carney said whether the requirement will go beyond Feb. 8 will be determined by vaccination rates and COVID-19 case rates at that time.
