Speak Up: Bidens visiting Rehoboth Beach through today

Posted

The skies above the sandy Atlantic Ocean coastline are off-limits until late Friday morning. With President Joe Biden arriving in town Wednesday, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a temporary flight restriction to clear the area of winged, overhead traffic. That means pilots pulling advertising banners for Ocean Aerial Ads Inc. can’t fly within 10 miles of Rehoboth Beach until late Friday morning, when the president departs.

  • And just a couple weeks ago, he said he wasn’t visiting the beach house this season, so as not to disrupt the local area. — Bob Hice
  • Biden did not say that. But they are taking the local situation into account when they visit their house at the beach. Note, this is a midweek visit. — Austin Acocella
  • By the way, Trump visited Mar-a-Lago 19 times in his first 100 days to play golf. Biden has only played golf one time! Kind of makes your statement poor in comparison. — Dennis Norwood
  • Does this guy ever work? He’s always in Delaware somewhere, flexing his power to stop traffic while ignoring the border crisis, China, hyperinflation, the employment crisis, etc. — Kelly Lord
  • You’re joking, right? Trump once said that, as president, he was “not going to have time to go play golf.” During his first 100 days in office, Trump found more time for golf than each of his last three predecessors. Trump played golf 19 times his first 100 days. Plus, Trump spent half of his first 14 weekends at Mar-a-Lago. Biden’s trips to Wilmington and Rehoboth are not uncommon for presidents. — Brendan Warner
  • The part-time president needs to stay in D.C. and do his job. — Marc Auger
  • You didn’t have a problem with Trump playing golf 19 times in his first 100 days. — Dennis Norwood
  • Enjoy your stay, Joe and Jill. Rest up from all the wonderful things you have done for our country. Our prayers are with you. — Judi Carrión
