The General Assembly announced legislation Monday that would help Delawareans who lost their jobs during the pandemic. The bill would exempt unemployment benefits paid in 2020 from Delaware state income tax, maintain the new employer tax rates at 2020 levels and waive the 13-week waiting period before the state could trigger extended benefits.

US shifts to speed vaccinations
Barely a month into a mass vaccination campaign to stop the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trump administration unexpectedly shifted gears Tuesday to speed the delivery of shots. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar has announced two major changes. First, the government will no longer hold back required second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.
