Letter to the Editor: Reader agrees with Yearick’s crime accountability stance

Posted

Rep. Lyndon Yearick, I agree totally with the accountability aspect of your article commentary (“Hold perpetrators accountable to curtail violence,” Aug. 8). The problem, to my knowledge, is the political lack of ownership of the mayor, city manager and City Council!

Sir, I’ve lived at my house in Dover since Oct. 1, 1980. The violence to which you speak is a direct result, to my knowledge, of the drug trade applied by the wholesale renter/landlord operation on Townsend Boulevard/Nimitz Road and other Dover communities!

My enlightenment of this drug scourge in my Towne Point/White Oak community is the direct result of a letter by former Deputy Attorney General Ken Abraham (“More Band-Aids won’t solve wave of drug violence,” Nov. 10, 2015).

Slow down and come take a look!

Phil McDonald Sr.
