I find it ironic that people who move from high tax states to Delaware have as their agenda to aggressively implement programs that invariably result in higher taxes. To quote a recent 20-year resident of Milford, “If that includes tax hikes to save the city from bankruptcy, so be it.” (“Milford City Council appears to be in chaos,” Nov. 15) She laments that the city in Pennsylvania she left has beautiful parks and downtown area.
While Milford has problems and a dysfunctional mayor and council, it is not in bankruptcy. Perhaps these progressive citizens and recent elected officials need to consider moving back to the states they left if it’s so bad here.
