SEAFORD — The city’s annual night out against crime and drugs through community unity is set for Oct. 10 at the Seaford Police Department grounds and neighboring Boys & Girls Club of Western Sussex on Virginia Avenue.
The family-friendly event will run from 5 to 7 p.m.
“We will have the usual participants to include special units from the Delaware State Police,” said Seaford Police deputy chief Michael Rapa.
On site for demonstrations or display will be the State Police K-9 Unit, Trooper 2 Aviation Unit, Bomb Unit and Crash Convincer.
Delaware Alcohol Tobacco Enforcement will have its distracted/impaired driving simulator trailer.
Other public service agencies with displays will be on hand, plus live entertainment, free food and soft drinks, giveaways and chances to win a boy’s bicycle and a girl’s bicycle.
The Night Out theme is “enhancing relationships to grow and build a stronger, prosperous community.”
