Allen Asbury church hosts Spring Bazaar on March 16

ALLEN — Homemade chicken salad, soups, oyster sandwiches and baked goods are on the menu for the Spring Bazaar of Allen Asbury United Methodist Church in Allen from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Allen Community Hall, 26575 Collins Wharf Road.

The church’s popular chicken salad and savory soups (Vegetable Beef Soup, Bean Soup, Chicken Orzo Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup) will be available by quart or pint for take-out. Oyster sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, dumplings and hot dogs will also be sold. All food sales will be inside the community hall, for carrying out or eating inside.

Also available at the Spring Bazaar, inside the Allen Community Hall: homemade baked goods including lots of pies, Maryland beaten biscuits, sweet potato biscuits, cakes and other treats at our famous bake table. Many other shopping opportunities will be available inside, including a wide selection of books and vendors including Sleepy Moon Soap Co., Pasternak Leather, Abramowicz Hand-Painted Items, Lilla Rose Hair Accessories, North of Eden Farm Lavender, Chocolates by Joe Easter Eggs, Warren Jewelry, and more. There will be silent auction items inside and, weather permitting, there will be a yard sale and vendors outside, too.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the church’s outreach to the Christian Shelter and HALO (Hope and Life Outreach) in Salisbury. For information please call 410-430-2984, or 410-546-2043.
