DOVER — Amanda Bowie has been named Bayhealth’s vice president of marketing, communications and community outreach after serving in the interim role since March 2023.

She has also worked as a senior manager, a marketing operations manager and a marketing specialist for the team.

While in the interim role, Ms. Bowie directed Bayhealth’s branding refresh, based on research in the community and among team members. With the goal of maximizing the health system’s efforts to help those in greatest need, Ms. Bowie also expanded the department to include community outreach.

Now, using social determinants of health data and Bayhealth’s Community Health Needs Assessment, she is leading her team to develop new initiatives.

Ms. Bowie received a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in management (with a concentration in marketing) at Wilmington University.

She is also certified in brand strategies by Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Her professional memberships include the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration; the Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development; and the Mid-Atlantic Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.
