TOWNSEND — A 21-year-old Townsend woman died Wednesday after she was struck by three vehicles, while walking in the southbound lanes of Dupont Parkway.

Delaware State Police said the collisions occurred at approximately 5:33 p.m., and Rosemith Delice was wearing dark clothing while walking for unknown reasons in an unlit area near Main Drive.

After first being hit, Ms. Delice came to rest in the southbound lane and was then struck by the two other vehicles, police said.

Troopers said Ms. Delice was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three drivers were uninjured.

The road was closed for approximately five hours.

The Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate and asks witnesses to call Sgt. J. Jefferson at 302-365-8484, to send a message via the state police Facebook page or to contact Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
