The Eagles scored the game’s final six runs, including one in the bottom of the seventh. But Panthers’ reliever Blake Knight got a strikeout to end the contest.

Polytech (1-2 North, 5-3 overall) got a two-run single from Joshua Fredericks in the first. Fredericks then tripled and scored on a bunt by William Harvey in the third.

Dylan Oakley had three hits, including a pair of doubles for Smyrna.
