The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) is proud to announce the return of one of its most popular and highly revered educational sessions - Kent County Open for Business (KOB). KOB returns Aug. 3, at Kent County Levy Court, Room 220, from 8:30-10 a.m. Kent County Levy Court is located at 555 Bay Road here in Dover, Delaware. After a short break, this event is finally back to serve central Delaware’s present and future entrepreneurs and business professionals. Held on the first Thursday of the month, KOB is a one-stop shop for access to Kent County agencies and representatives to support all stages of your business.

Wonderful local success stories have originated from this event, such as the opening of Tomeka’s Homestyle Eatery by the wonderfully resourceful and engaged, Tomeka Crawford. Other CDCC members and friends have gratefully expressed the help this event has been for their professional goals. You should register with the CDCC and make the effort to attend this free business development session to see for yourself. KOB is an expo-style event, which means numerous agencies are tabled around the room, ready to answer questions, give crucial information, and serves as friendly faces for those in any stage of their business venture. The CDCC and its partners are ready and willing to help.
Agencies that protect, assist, and advocate for the success of small businesses here in Kent County will be present. Attendees can expect to see representatives from Delaware Center for Enterprise Development, Delaware Division of Small Business, SCORE Delaware, Launcher Business Resources, Downtown Dover Partnership, Kent Economic Partnership, U.S. Small Business Administration, and many more. A representative from the CDCC will also be available in addition to its credible partners.

KOB is the perfect one-stop shop for business professionals in all stages, whether your business is a vibrant idea, whether you are looking for land, capital, or guidance. KOB is a tremendous time-saver because it houses representatives from many agencies under one roof at one time, so you don’t have to travel and set up multiple meetings to get the support you’re looking for. While society is still emerging from the aftermath of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the CDCC understands the challenges small business owners are facing in today’s economy and they hope KOB can be a dependable resource which enables many businesses to thrive in Central Delaware.
