Chamber Connection: Lunch with central Delaware’s Legislators slated

Posted

Local business leaders and community members, you are invited to the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce’s (CDCC) 21st Legislative Luncheon at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort in Dover, on Thursday, March 23, from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. This event is attended by legislators from the central Delaware community with the purpose of providing an opportunity for these groups to come together to discuss issues that are important to the local business community and to hear from elected officials about their plans and priorities for the upcoming legislative session. The CDCC is proud to offer this highly revered event for its 21st consecutive year.

The legislative luncheon is an opportunity for the public to meet face-to-face with their Kent County Senators and Representatives to engage in open dialogue concerning current legislation that may affect them and their businesses. This is a meeting for the public to discuss upcoming bills, to hear first-hand information about them and learn, if implemented, what that could mean for their businesses. The CDCC takes great pride in providing a safe, open, and honest atmosphere to facilitate change and foster community inclusion.

Our small, but mighty, shared state of Delaware is a rare gem because of the close proximity business leaders and the community have to local legislators. Local leaders – take advantage of this opportunity to meet face-to-face with your Senators and Representatives and the chance to have your voice heard. Local Legislators – take advantage of this opportunity to meet, listen, and learn from prominent leaders within the community. Delaware Legislators want the public to know that they are human just like the rest of us, and they love hearing their stances, opinions, and concerns as they try to best represent both parties for the best of the community. The event exemplifies the teamwork and collaboration that is imperative in continuing to make Central Delaware THE place to live, work, and play for all.
