CHAMBER CONNECTION: Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce upcoming events centered on continual learning

Posted

The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce firmly believes in continuous learning, the exploration of sharing that knowledge with others, and the places it will take you. That is why the CDCC wants to notify their members of three upcoming events that further their goal of learning, informing, and growing in their professional and personal experiences.

On Thursday, March 2, from 8:30 – 10 a.m., join the CDCC for their free monthly business development session – Kent County Open for Business (KOB). This event is held at Kent County Levy Court, Room 220, (555 Bay Road, Dover). This is your one-stop shop for obtaining knowledge about how to conduct, create, and collaborate in the business professional world of central Delaware. Whether you’re at the very beginning of your business journey, or have been working for a few years, KOB is the place you should be. Talk face to face with experts from 19 different organizations and agencies who are passionate about helping you and your business support the community. The Downtown Dover Partnership, Kent Economic Partnership, Inc., SCORE Delaware, and U.S. Small Business Administration are just some the of the agencies represented at this event. Take advantage of this free session, and feel free to share the news with anyone who could benefit.

After KOB, see what’s brewing with the CDCC by attending Coffee Coaching on March 8 from 8-9 a.m. via zoom. This month’s educational presentation is titled “What the Department of Labor Division of Employment & Training Can Do for You.” Carly Horton and Chip Riddleberger will be virtually present to present and discuss JobLink, benefits to employers, and their program “Elevate Delaware” to increase employee retention and growth. This conversation will be extremely valuable to employers, large or small, and employees alike because both work hand-in-hand to make our state great. This is a free member benefit for CDCC members. Please visit www.cdcc.net to register.

After you attend Coffee Coaching, log on to zoom again the next day for Member Orientation on Thursday, March 9, from 12-1:30 p.m., via zoom as well. The CDCC has an abundance of member benefits for businesses and their all of their staff members to enjoy. There are so many it can be hard to keep track of them all. Whether you are a completely new or an established member, attend the CDCC’s Member Orientation session to stay updated on the benefits of your membership with the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Learn how to start your journey on becoming a 5-star member, which signifies high engagement and includes even more member incentives. The CDCC wants to ensure that you are utilizing all their amazing benefits and staying engaged with them to continue expanding your business for the good of the community. Knowledge is power and the more you know the more you can grow with the CDCC. Stay engaged with the connectors of the community – YOUR CDCC.
