Chamber Connection: Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce to shine a light on excellence

The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to shine a light on Kent County business excellence June 28 at Bally’s Dover’s Rollins Center from 5:30–9 p.m.

The chamber’s board of directors, staff, members and the community have been patiently waiting all year for this culminating event — the event of the year for the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. The business and professional community will assemble to award the Large Employer of the Year, the Small Business of the Year, the Young Professional of the Year and other special recognitions.

The chamber is happy to host the movers and shakers of Kent County, celebrate the businesses that bring vibrancy to central Delaware and foster community at this joyous gathering. Guests can expect the State of the Chamber address, the award ceremony and the Leadership Central Delaware class of 2023 graduation. There will be much to see, hear and cheer for at the annual Awards for Excellence Celebration.

Nominated this year in the Large Employer of the Year category are Bally’s Dover, the Kraft Heinz Co. and Polytech Adult Education.

In the Small Business of the Year category are The Ice House: Wellness + Community, Pressley Ridge and Sambo’s Tavern.

And in the Young Professional of the Year category are Lauren Webb of Dedicated to Women, Stephen Burgess of Fireside Partners and Ryne Johnson of Advantech.

The chamber and the community are so anxious to know who members voted for, and on the evening of June 28, the wait will finally be over. We are so grateful to work alongside Kent County excellence, and everyone is a winner in the chamber’s eyes; however, the votes of business peers will prevail. It will surely be a night you’ll never forget.

The Chamber of Commerce is also extremely excited to return to the hospitable Bally’s Dover for an upscale, cocktail-attire, dinner event. They are unrolling the red carpet for all guests and providing unique photo opportunities. Everyone is special at this event, and the CDCC invites you — the community — to make memories for years to come.
