Posted

DOVER — The National Council on Agricultural Life and Labor Research Fund invites the central Dover community to participate in a week of events planned by the council’s Restoring Central Dover team.

NeighborWorks Week, to be held June 7-12, serves as a celebration of neighborhood revitalization activities. It also aims to demonstrate the value of neighbors helping neighbors.

The week will include several virtual events, including a healthy cooking demonstration, Zumba, a gardening demonstration, kids’ crafts, paint night and more.

The Restoring Central Dover team will conclude the week with a celebratory community picnic at 11 a.m. June 12. At that time, the team will announce its TikTok Showcase and Beautify your Yard winners, as well as 2021 graduates of all ages.

Adopted in 2014, Restoring Central Dover is a comprehensive neighborhood revitalization plan that was implemented by NCALL and a steering committee. The plan represents the community’s vision for restoring the vitality of central Dover and lists recommendations for implementation.
