The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced Wednesday it had reached its cap of 17,000 Delaware surf-fishing permits for 2021.
No more surf tag permits will be issued until December. The cap was reached early this year after a large amount of winter sales.
DNREC announced when only 1,000 permits remained and sold out within an hour.
The permit also serves as a Delaware State Parks annual pass, providing access to all 17 state parks.
