Camden man arrested for impersonating officer

HARRINGTON — A 33-year-old Camden man was arrested after allegedly impersonating a police officer at the Midway Shopping Center on Saturday, Harrington police said.

Shaun P. Campbell threatened several individuals with a gun during an argument around 6:47 p.m., according to authorities.

Police located Mr. Campbell at the Food Lion in the shopping plaza, and a pellet gun was found on him, police said. Mr. Campbell also was wearing police-style clothing and displaying a badge and handcuffs.

The suspect was charged with aggravated menacing and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7, Dover, and released on his own recognizance.
