MAGNOLIA — A 25-year-old Magnolia woman was arrested on multiple counts of reckless endangering after she allegedly fired gunshots inside her residence Thursday, authorities said.

Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Jason Hatchell said troopers were dispatched to a home on Douglas Fir Road at approximately 3 a.m.

An investigation determined that Tamia Richardson had been in a physical altercation with a 21-year-old man prior to discharging a handgun. Police said a 44-year-old man and two children, ages 1 and 4, were also inside the house during the shooting. Upon arrival, troopers set up a perimeter and ordered Ms. Richardson outside. She was taken into custody without incident.

Cpl. Hatchell said the 21-year-old man left the scene prior to police arrival. There were no reports of injuries.

Ms. Richardson was charged with first-degree reckless endangering (three counts) and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7, Dover, and committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution, New Castle, on a $12,500 secured bond.
