GEORGETOWN — The Parker Group will hold the second annual Paws for a Cause adoption event, in partnership with the Brandywine Valley SPCA, from 2-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at 673 N. Bedford St.

“We are excited to be partnering with the Brandywine Valley SPCA for the second year in a row to bring this event to the community,” said Rachel Parker, COO of The Parker Group. “Our goal is to help as many pets as possible find their forever homes while supporting the SPCA's mission to rescue animals in need.”

The event will feature several adoptable dogs on-site. In partnership with the SPCA offering discounted adoption fees, The Parker Group will be covering 65% of every adoption fee, offering over $100 off of each adoption to encourage as many adoptions as possible during the event.

In addition to pet adoptions, Paws for a Cause will feature a petting zoo, face painting, and several local vendors, including Vanderwende's Ice Cream truck, PetStop of Delmarva, and Yarn & Bone Pet Supply, who recently opened a location in Georgetown.

Attendees can also participate in a giveaway raffle for a basket of pet supplies by bringing an item to donate to the SPCA. A list of suggested items can be found on the Brandywine Valley SPCA’s website.

For more information about the adoption event, visit The Parker Group’s Facebook page or call 302-217-6692.
