GEORGETOWN — The Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation announces the organization is now accepting applications from small business owners based in Sussex County for the Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.

Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem was created in 2020 to help entrepreneurs identify opportunities to scale their businesses and increase their annual revenue. Through guided decision-making, leadership coaching, targeted business resources and other technical assistance, Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem helps entrepreneurs navigate their landscape to achieve their goals.

Since 2020, Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation has held seven application cycles and invested in 58 businesses, and counting, across the state.

Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation will invite five entrepreneurs in Sussex County to participate in a 5-week, flexible workshop to analyze their business models and identify opportunities to scale their businesses.

Each participant will receive a prioritized action plan, accompanied with strategic coaching to help grow their business – services valued at over $5,000 per business.

Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation has brought together a Sussex County Regional Council, composed of representatives from Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation, Sussex County Economic Development Center, SBDC, Delaware Tech, La Esperanza, La Plaza, PMG Consulting, Launcher, and Discover Bank to review the applicants and determine the cohort participants.

Applications from entrepreneurs in Sussex County will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on May 8.

To access the E3 application or learn more about the initiative, visit petedupontfreedomfoundation.org/e3.

Application cycles for entrepreneurs in Kent and New Castle Counties will be held this summer.
