M&T Charitable Foundation supports CHEER construction

Posted

GEORGETOWN — CHEER Inc. has announced that it has received monetary support from the M&T Charitable Foundation for the construction of its Gateway East Administration and Support Services Building.

A long-term commitment of $30,000 was initiated with the recent presentation of the first of three $10,000 yearly payments to CHEER’s CEO Beckett Wheatley.

The building will house the agency’s administrative team, which has been working in the Thurman Adams State Service Center, Georgetown, for over four decades.

Ground will be broken later this year on property behind CHEER’s Warren & Charles Allen Community Center, Sand Hill Road. Construction is expected to be finished in about 12 months.
