Hughes: Milford’s Policy 6103 revision is ‘censorship’

Posted

After reading through all the material about Policy 6103, I find it hard to believe that the Milford school board would even consider this. Do we really need to revert back to the times of censorship, when books were being burned, and we were restricted to what we could say, write or read?

Is this what we want for our children? How could this even be considered in this day and age? Why are you trying to take away our children’s freedoms, given to them by the Constitution of the United States? Do we really want to move backward in time? Think again, ladies and gentlemen, and do the right thing.

Don’t pass this policy in any way!

Cynthia Hughes
